What a shortlist from the AI Guide looks like

This is a real sample of what Pro members receive: not a filtered list, an application strategy. Meet Alex, an example student. Predicted 32 IB points, wants business or economics, budget of EUR 25,000 a year all in, lives in the UK, and is a dual national with French citizenship through a parent. That last detail matters more than most students realise.

Alex's shortlist

Six universities to explore for business and economics, each with the English-taught bachelor's to check against Alex's grades, budget and preferences. His French citizenship changes the price at five of them.

Copenhagen Business School (CBS)· Denmark

Admission runs through Denmark's quota system, so check the programme's entry requirements, how IB results convert and the most recent quota cut-off on CBS's own pages before relying on it.

No tuition for Alex as an EU citizen; non-EU students pay tuition at rates CBS publishes per programme. Copenhagen living costs are high, so budget carefully.

Aarhus University· DenmarkTo explore

Aarhus asks for an IB Diploma with at least 24 points to apply, and Mathematics at Danish B level. Quota 1 places go on the grade average, with IB results converted to the Danish scale: at least 6.0 is needed to be considered, and the 2026 cut-off was 9.2. Check the conversion on the programme page.

Programme: BSc in Economics and Business Administration

No tuition for Alex as an EU citizen, and Aarhus living costs sit in the moderate band, cheaper than Copenhagen.

Erasmus University Rotterdam· Netherlands

IBA is a three-year English-taught BSc with a selection procedure and a 15 January application deadline; check the mathematics requirement and the selection criteria on the admissions page.

Programme: BSc International Business Administration (IBA), Rotterdam School of Management

As an EU citizen Alex pays the EEA fee, about EUR 2,771 for 2027-28 (non-EEA students pay about EUR 15,200, per RSM's programme page). With moderate living costs the total sits comfortably inside his EUR 25,000 all-in budget.

Stockholm University· Sweden

Stockholm University has no minimum grade average for admission and ranks applicants when a programme has more applicants than places. Confirm on universityadmissions.se which English-taught bachelor's programmes it opens for the 2027 intake, and their requirements, before relying on this entry.

Warsaw School of Economics· Poland

A specialist economics university in Warsaw. Its two English-taught bachelor's programmes run three years, and international applicants sit an online entrance examination covering basic economics, logical reasoning and simple mathematics.

Programme: BSc in International Economics, or Global Business, Finance and Governance

Tuition of EUR 5,000 a year (EUR 2,500 per semester in 2026/27) with moderate living costs makes this the cheapest total on the list.

Stockholm School of Economics· SwedenStretch application

Three different numbers matter here. SSE's formal minimum is 31 IB points, which Alex clears. It says 39 or above is usually required, which he does not reach. And it asks every applicant for an SAT, ACT or ITB-Business score, which is where a strong result can help. So this is a stretch application, not a plan.

Programme: BSc in Business and Economics

No tuition for Alex as an EU citizen (non-EU students pay SEK 360,000 for the three-year programme, roughly EUR 10,500 a year), which makes the stretch cheap to attempt.

Apply only alongside the other choices on this list, and only with a strong admissions-test score.

Alex's application strategy

Alex's French passport is the biggest lever in this list: Sweden and Denmark charge EU, EEA and Swiss citizens no tuition at public universities, so four of these six would cost him nothing in fees. In the Netherlands he pays the EEA fee, about EUR 2,771 a year for 2027-28, rather than the non-EEA fee of about EUR 15,200, and only the Warsaw option is priced the same for every student, so his real decision is about living costs and fit, not fees: Copenhagen and Stockholm are expensive cities, Rotterdam and Warsaw more moderate. On grades, only two of these universities publish an IB points figure: Aarhus asks for at least 24 points to apply, then fills places on converted grade averages, and Stockholm School of Economics sets a formal minimum of 31, which Alex's predicted 32 clears, but says 39 or above is usually needed and requires an SAT, ACT or ITB-Business score, so it is worth an application, not a plan. The others select on their own terms, which is why each entry says what to check. Each entry links to the programme page, so the application cycle, subject requirements and selection route can be checked before it earns a place in the plan; Stockholm School of Economics is the one stretch, and it is understood as exactly that.

What could change the picture

  • ·If Alex could not confirm EU citizenship, five of the six entries would switch to international rates: SEK 90,000 a year at Stockholm University and SEK 120,000 a year at Stockholm School of Economics (roughly EUR 8,000 and EUR 10,500), per-programme rates at CBS and Aarhus, and about EUR 15,200 at Rotterdam for 2027-28. Warsaw School of Economics, already priced as a paid English-taught programme at EUR 5,000 a year, would then lead the list on cost.
  • ·A strong SAT or ACT result would strengthen the Stockholm School of Economics application, which weighs the admissions test alongside the IB score.

Grades are the one thing on this page you can still change
